Grandma Duck (again!)

Why do we always refer to Scrooge McDuck as "Uncle Scrooge"? It's
because he's Donald's uncle, and Donald is the central character in
the duck side of the Disney universe. After all, we don't ordinarily
refer to Donald as "Unca Donald" or to Daisy as "Aunt Daisy", since
HD&L and AM&J aren't the central point of reference in duckdom.
That's Donald. Scrooge McDuck, although perhaps the most memorable
character in his own right, will forever remain "Uncle Scrooge" because
he's Donald's uncle. Grandma Duck is known as "Grandma", to everyone
in Duckburg and to the readers, because she's Donald's grandmother.
If she were Donald's mother, we would always refer to her as "Mama
Duck", probably. I know this line of reasoning has no justification
in terms of the history of the character, but from a practical point
of view, it makes some sense (at least to me).
