The FDC on RAD

	Dear Folks,

Harry said: "BTW: there *was* some traffic on the news group
'rec.arts.disney'. Someone said he was Donald's FDC. David replied to
that. David, can you tell us what an FDC is?"

The FDC is the "Future Disney Cabinet." On RAD people will
"join" the cabinet by "declaring" themselves to "be" a certain Disney
character. Then the goal is to occasionally write letters to the
group in as close an approximation of the character's "voice" as
possible. Sort of like the letters from Mickey and from Scrooge which
I wrote last year and posted here, only I usually consider this too
"serious" a forum ;-) to spent bandwidth HERE on that.

Of course, I'm utilizing it to all of our benefit. I have
signed on as the "FDC Comic-Strip Mickey Mouse." I frequently write
posts to the group in the style of Gottfredson's MM, announcing new
Gladstone comics, debating on the Ducks with Charles Buchanan (the FDC
Donald Duck), and generally spreading the word about the availability
and contents of Gladstone's comics.

I close each of my FDC-letters to RAD with a recommendation of
some Gladstone comic, which will change twice each month. I have been
recommending the upcoming publication of "Hoppy the Kangaroo" just
now, mainly to spread the word about Gottfredson (it's my first such
recommendation: I joined the FDC two weeks ago).

In fact, Charles told me he was going to join this list. Are
you lurking here, Duck? If so, fer gosh sakes, why don't y' say
somethin'?

Anyone have any data on DDA 26 for us now? Should have come
out...
