BEV:  This  came to me today VIA another NET.  Steven Grant is a free lance
writer who does "X" for Dark  Horse,  EDGE  for  Bravura  and  whose  works
include The Punisher and the Spectacular Spider-Man.  It looks as if Marvel
is  trying  to  pocket ALL the proceeds from their books, from distribution
right down to retail.  What's in store for the Marvel Disneys in light  of
these changes remains to be seen.

Here's a new one for you, David: Marvel is pulling out of the direct
market (ie, Diamond and Capital) and pulling all promotion from their
catalogs, effective with the May 95 cover date comics, and will be
handling all their own distribution from now on.  It's not known if that
includes Malibu's books or not.

Gary Hudson of the investment group mentioned in the press release
confirmed that Marvel is dedicated to creating a chain of Marvel
Stores...
