Yeah!
Paperinik was created by Guido Martina (texts) and Giovan Battista Carpi (art).
In that time, boys were writing to Topolino (the weekly Italian Disney
magazine); they were sad to see Donald Duck always as a loser. So Elisa
Penna asked to Martina and Carpi to create a sort of superhero double
identity for Donald Duck. In Italy there were other dark heroes in that time
in other comics: Diabolik, Satanik, ... and on TV ther was a parody of the
genre by an actor (Johnny Dorelli---> Dorellik). So they chose "Paperinik"
as the name (Donald Duck = Paperino in Italy) for this "dark" identity of
DD. Now there is a monthly magazine dedicated to the stories of Paperinik
and the other Disney superheroes.
Bye!
Gianfranco.
