Hello!

I'm sure several stories have dealt with this matter, but one story comes to
mind. This is an italian story written by Attilio Mazzanti and drawn by
Luciano Gatto (one of my favourites) in 1961. It's called 'Paperino... Anno
2001' (I TL 309-A) and has also been printed in pocket-books in several
countries (see Inducks). It's about Scrooge wanting Donald and HDL to go to
the future, because he's worried that Donald won't take care of his fortune
if he inheritages this. When they arrive at the future, the soon see a
poster of what they believe is Scrooge. Being puzzled about that he
apparently hasn't changed any, they go to see him, only to discover that
this isn't Scrooge, but Donald himself that looks exactly as Scrooge did.
They are told that HDL now work for Donald, being placed on the moon, March
and Venus. The elder Donald also shows them the last picture taken of
Scrooge, looking very old and tired. They soon discover that the elder
Donald is maybe even more careful about his money than what Scrooge ever
was. The younger Donald wants half of the heritage, because he's an heir
too. When the elder Donald tries to trick the younger one by giving him very
little 'future-money', the younger Donald goes to the B-boys for help. An
interesting part of the story, is when the younger Donald takes a bath in
the money, acting exactly the same way as Scrooge used to do, this
indicating that it's actually possibly that Donald could turn into a version
of Scrooge. In the last confrontation of the Donalds, the younger one is so
disgusted by his older self, that he treatens to tell Scrooge that he has
spent the whole fortune, just to make this future not to happen. After being
chased by the older Donald and the B-boys, the younger one and HDL finds
their way back to the past. They then tell Scrooge the lie, and Scrooge
kicks Donald out of the bin, and tells him that he won't inherit anything.
Well, this is a very nice story, but for some reasons the first panel is
drawn by Perego. The part where Doanld and the boys go back to the past,
also looks a bit strange, so I suspect that something is edited away. Does
someone know what really happened here?
