Not "that" subject

In the absence of fresh input, I don't want to continue "that" subject, but
I've gone half a week without thanking Daniel for the compliments on my
Toonopedia, and that's long enough.

Thanks, Daniel. To provide a site that people can enjoy enough to keep
coming back is exactly what I'm trying to do. I'm very glad to hear I've
done that for you, and appreciate your saying so.

Also --
Someone else asked if I'm actually collecting advertising revenue on the
site.

I've been wheeling and dealing about exactly that since I opened the site
(two months ago), and expect results momentarily. Financial rewards will be
small at first (tho at my volume it should be able to finance a trip to the
grocery store now and then), but as I come to understand the market better
and start actually promoting the site (as opposed to chatting about it in
places like this), I should start moving up the ladder. Next thing you know,
it might be making a serious dent in the utility bills, and from there --
who knows? Maybe someday it'll be able to pay my taxes.

Lotta work, tho. Answering mail, monitoring resources, keeping up-to-date on
"Today in Toons", squelching pirates, developing business contacts, writing
fresh content... WHATEVER it pays, I'll have earned every cent.

By the way, to keep this on-topic, I might mention you can find links to all
my Disney articles at http://www.toonopedia.com/disney.htm. And to delve
into the history of our topic and related areas, Friday is Walter Lantz's
birthday, and to celebrate, I hope to put up a couple of Lantz-related
articles -- touching, of course, on Oswald the Rabbit as a big part of his
career history.

Quack, Don
