Your idea has been used in "Asterix goes to America", where the Romans
talk norwegian with an italian accent, the Gauls talk "Østfolding"
(Fredrikstad / Sarpsborg) and other dialects are used for other groups
in the movie. And IMHO this works out absolutely beautifully... :)
