Windows spell checks

Well, a Mac spelling check wouldn't help you in this case, either.  The 
program *only* confirms that the spelling of the word fits to that of 
any word in the built-in dictionary, not that the word is the one 
intended.  And both "avid" and "avoid" are indeed valid words.
