really? I thought the one you just said was an appearance of the Grandpa Duck from the cartoon "No Hunting" (according to Rich's pages) This woulkd make sense : if the grandpa from no hunting appeared, that could be a reason why giovan battista carpi included him in his duck family tree

and as the inducks description of the moore story was "  GD shows the family album to two kids" and Don Rosa told it was a scrapbook scene, I thought it could be the one with Humperdink... Moreover, It was supposed to be a wdc story...
