Along with this, the Marx Brothers films - as with most all Hollywood
product - were subtitled or overdubbed for release into various
overseas (that is, non-US) markets. These, of course, required
translations of dialogue and song lyrics, a job usually handled by
the overseas distributors, which knew the specific needs - and
restrictions - of their markets. This has resulted in all kinds of
variations to dialogue, song lyrics, and even plot lines.
