DAVID:
My favourite stories when I was seven were "Only a poor old man",
"Lost in the Andes" and "The seven cities of Cibola". My favourite
Mickey story was the story were Minnie owns a farm, which cows
mysteriously disappear. Mickey finds out that the thiefs use a
helicopter. I hadn't read those Mickey stories you are mentioning
yet when I was seven.
I must have been about twelve years old when I first read "Monarch
of Medioka". It has since been my favourite Mickey Mouse story.

Actually, "The Phantom of Notre Duck" was also one of my favourites
when I was younger. I just loved all those secret corridors, and
such things. And think of that panel where Donald is swinging around
the highest tower of the cathedral! Ah, I can't wait til I get home.

I didn't have to buy those big white books. My parents bought them
for me. They also bought the weekly magazine for me. The first Disney
story I bought myself, was the adaption of the first Bernard & Bianca
movie. That was in 1979 (I was eight years old at that time).
