News from the Fethry front
--------------------------
Anders Engwall indexed two Fethry stories originally written for
Western (Gold Key)! They were in Donald Duck 105 and 106. We think these
are the only two Fethry stories (by Strobl) ever done for Western.
Fethry looks at bit different from the S-coded (foreign market)
stories: e.g. his hair is thicker, solid in stead of single lines.

Madam Mim

This was the story I was thinking about. The edges of my mouth were
a bit more apart after I read it.
In the Dutch reprint its code was D 3674, but Per said there was a
different story with this code in Sweden.

> The other one is a short story where Ludwig von Drake is going
> out in the forest, where it's silent, to read his books.

and David wondered where he read this story. This 4-page Strobl story is
not an Egmont story. I don't know if it's Western or 'foreign market'.
It appeared in Dutch DD 71-45. Maybe David read it there?

Bounced mail
------------
Dwight: I'm *glad* your mail to David bounced last monday, so you sent it
to the list. This way, *we* could enjoy your conversation as well. Why keep
such *interesting* messages private?

Character cross-overs
---------------------
Dwight mentioned a backup story in a Lady and the Tramp giant. This was one
of the stories that I could not find the origin of! In the Dutch reprint,
it was coded WDDig soandso (W.D. Digest).
So the "@-list" (list of unidentified stories) in the Disney comics Database
is getting smaller and smaller.
BTW: that story featured Dumbo, the 7 Dwarfs, Bongo, the witch from Snowwhite,
Bambi, the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, and Lady.

Another thing: since Brer Rabbit and the Wolves live in the same forest
(Black Forest? Shouldn't that be Sinister Forest? or Big Bad Forest? 8-)
in Holland, there have been numerous stories where they met.
I remember one story, where Big Bad Wolf and Brer Fox make a deal: they
agree to catch Brer Rabbit and the 3 little pigs, respectively. Makes
quite a funny story.

P.S. I never heard of Robert Klein, so I don't think he's Dutch.
