All-
Regarding Don's art of Mickey, The panel in the Crocodile Collector with
an outline of a black mouse on the side of a hut selling skins, was Don
attempting to slide a joke past the Disney censors. In this case he
succeeded. (according to Don)
He also has at least 3 covers that were not listed that appeared on
Gladstone's "Walt Disney's Comics in color issues 2,5 and 6. These are hard
to find compilations of previous Gladstone albums that retailed at $20 ea. I
do not have issue #1 but have 2-7.
Issue #2 has U$ drawing MM, MM drawing Donald, and Donald drawing U$, all in
a triangular setting. Issue #5 has MM carrying an American flag, U$ playing a
washtub drum and Donald playing a fife, all while marching.(Reolutionary type
pose) Issue #6 simply has Donald and MM standing side by side tipping a hat
and waving. Issue #3 does have a photo gallery with MM's picture on the wall
and Dewey standing behind a cardboard cutout of MM's body. (Huey and Louie
behind Donald and U$)
Did anyone see me on Personal fx?
I have been off line for some time, but I should be back for good.---Barry---
