You are right. Here in Greece , the Beanie babies never came in the
domestic toy market, and I think neither in Europe .What a madness! This is
a perfect example of the so called "limited edition" items ,trying to
establish new habits and driving the consumers in the new directions of
spending their money.

I am glad that Archontis represented all of us ( especially European and
Greek members of the list ) in the DD Museum Grand Opening ,but also in
the meeting with Don Rosa. I wished to be there.

In the Greek edition of April 2000 of the National Geographic Magazine
there is a wonderful and very sophisticated advertisement for the new
edition of KOMIX, putting side by side three panels from the CB stories
:"in Ancient Persia", "The Fabulous Philosopher's stone"and "Mummy's Ring"
and three vintage photographs of the corresponding places. There are also a
CB photograph reading the NGM and also some of his thoughts about using NG
as a source for his stories. And I think this is the second time that the
editors of NG put such a wonderful advertisement for KOMIX, (then with
another stories and references) .
