It might be typical both danish and dutch, or typical european disney
comics. I don't know how much Barks used it. 
It's a fact that eg. the shorts for the JW generals and such have to mean
something both as short and as explained in a caption. That's some task
for the translators.

Interesting. 
I don't believe that is what his editing is, is it? Junk or garbage? I
believe the ducth weekly, apart from the fact that they don't print Rosa,
is one of the best weeklies we have in europe. It is one of the few which
has a letter's column in every mag, and it publishes stories by Heymans,
Jippes, Milton and more. 
About the letter column in DD Weekblad, I'm not that strong in dutch, but
am I not right when I claim that most of the letters are about things the
readers experienced in dayly life or vactaions and such. They are that
more than questions about stories or such, as would be in eg. the greek
magazine Komix' letter columns. ?

I wasn't really in the mood for joking yesterday. i sometimes get a little
depressed when packages I know should be coming haven't done so yet. Today
I'm flying. There's no school, and the postman left a note that the set
from Tronsmo with Don's LP and CK-books are at the post house for me to
fecth at 3 pm. Yippeee! I'm notgoing to gett any sleep this evening!
