I believe that this name was first used in the comics that were produced by
Disney in the early 1990s.

In one of the Gladstone reprints of Gottfredson's stories, I remember Mickey
receiving a pakage addressed to "Mickey Mouse, Homeville, USA". I believe that
it was in one of those two-page sequences published in the middle of the comic
book, interrupting the flow of the actual story.
