>>Could there have been an occasion where he has been to Russia, or otherwise >>been involved with
Russian biznizmenami [biznizmen = a (one) business person; >> here by necessity conjugated in
pluralis instrumentalis]?

L&T, Chapter 11: In 1910, Scrooge bought a hat and cane in St Petersburg and sold "concertinas to
the Czar's cavalry" before buying Fabergé eggs from the Czar himself-- based on information given in
U$ 9 ("The Lemming with the Locket") & U$ 20 ("City of Golden Roofs").

I imagine Scrooge is fluent in the main languages of the countries he visited in his youth, and
knows enough of the local dialects to deal with Foola Zoola for instance. Since such journeys took
quite a lot of time and Scrooge is a hard-working tycoon, who wouldn't trust any interpreter, it is
possible he learned at least the staples-- and he may be a fast learner.

You will find a map of these voyages at http://ob7.free.fr/mouse_ducks/
("King of the Klondike" icon in the left "Contents" frame, then the globe for the map or young
Scrooge for a chronology).
Here's a list...

Tandjong Priok, Dutch Java, 1883
The Transvaal, South Africa (1887)
West Australia Plateau Desert (1896)
Panama (1906)
Congo (1909): Qwak Qwak & Voodoo tribes
Sahara
Egypt
Aden, Yemen
Turkey
Holland
St Petersburg
Bazookistan
Rippan Taro-- trains cormorans (one more language)

Best wishes,

Olivier
