Color of money

I think the colors of Scrooge's money are only a
subject for people with nothing to talk about. This is
typical uninteresting so-called "fan" discussions.
Who cares about all these details. We just need good
stories.
Most Disney artists, including Barks, never cared
about details, exact filiation, family, settings etc.
They just built "their" universe story after story
with what seemed right to them, without worrying about
the consistency of everything. I think this is what
produces the best stories. Italian masters like Romano
Scarpa are on this point very similar to Barks: they
built their own universes and concentrated on the
story. They never worried about wether Scrooge's coins
are dollars, ecus or pesetas. And that was done
(partly) at the same time Barks made his stories.
Don Rosa in my opinion is the exact opposite of Barks
in this respect. His later stories give too much
importance (still again IMO) on the Ducks' history,
settings and so on. The stories are good, but they
come with extremely long explanations of everything in
the Duck family, Duckburg. The stories suffer of this.

There are things that aren't details, like the fact
that mythologic gods, witches or Santa Claus aren't
part of the duck universe (or should not). This is
important because it tells a lot about the level of
stories (too childish or not).
