Disney Mickey Mouse comic strip returns to America

The strip at least lived well into the year 2000. I have scans of the 2000-strips through March 11, and that cannot be the last strip published, since it has Mickey hanging suspended over a large vat of "Granny Eagle's deep-fried marshmallow sauerkraut casserole" into which Emil Eagle intends to dunk him after smashing Mickey's hometown with his earthquake-machine. We're at the end of week 2 of an adventure which began on February 28, 2000.
Does anyone have information about exactly when the strip was discontinued?
