Hi!

>>> No not at all! From the previous debate at DCML I learned that he is not
>>> well known for what he once did for Disney, but because he did promote
>>> himself by doing this non-Disney Pogo-stuff.

a/ Kelly did draw many covers for the Disney comics
b/ Kelly did not "promote himself" any more than Barks or Gottfredson or
anyone did
c/ please don't use such phrases as "this non-Disney Pogo-Stuff": it is very
disparaging. Like Gottfredson's mouse and Barks' ducks, and to an even
greater extent actually, Pogo was not dumb funny animal comics "stuff"

>>>It would be as if the Asterix-creaor Uderzo started doing Disney-stories
now.

Nope. Kelly didn't make such drastic a change; like Barks' DD & U$, Pogo was
an excellent strip with characters that happened to be animals instead of
humans (to paraphrase a well-known duck author/artist).

As I've said previously, try and find some Pogo strips (in a library? on the
web?): you will discover an immense comic strip author/artist and find a new
source of  joy.
