Polish edition uses the original translation of this poem. There is an
information at the beginning of the story: "Fragments of Samuel Taylor
Coleridge's "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" in translation by Stanislaw
Krynicki."

"Dlaczego, stary, patrzysz tak?
Niech zbawia ci Niebiosa
Od biesow dusze!
- Wziawszy kusze,
Zabilem albatrosa."

(Why are you staring so, old man?
God save your soul
>From the devils! -
I took my crossbow
And shot the albatross.)
